With over 27 years of deep expertise in Industrial Alignment, 3D Metrology, and Precision Laser-Based Engineering Solutions, Mr. Pawan Panchpal stands as one of Asia's most respected technical authorities in precision engineering. He pioneered the introduction and adoption of advanced 3D Laser-Based Metrology methodologies across India's steel and power sectors — building frameworks and standards that continue to define industry practice today.
Before founding SixD in 2006, he held senior technical leadership roles at Leica Geosystems (Switzerland), Automated Precision Inc. (USA), and DEMAG AG (Germany) — rare international depth that he channelled into building an Indian enterprise of global calibre. Under his technical stewardship, SixD has built deep capabilities in 3D Metrology, Design Development & Supply, As-Built Laser Scanning, 3D Engineering for brownfield projects, and Digital Intelligence — delivering over 500 successful projects across industries worldwide.

SixD was introduced to JSW Steel way back in early 2000 when our project team used to struggle days after days for aligning Slab caster equipment. At JSW Steel every year since 2000 we were expanding the Plant capacity with a speed of falcon and SixD gave the real speed to falcon by completing the alignment of machine to the required accuracy in stipulated time without any rework.
